It’s indeed a good practice but at the same time, it’s also a hassle to remember all of our login credentials. Many a times, I forgot my login passwords for different websites like SBI net banking. Thanks to the companies who aware of this common human nature. Many of them, let you reset your login credentials online. State Bank of India also lets customers to reset their login credentials online. If you’re an SBI internet banking user and you forgot your SBI user ID, login password, or profile password then you can easily retrieve them. In this post, I’m going to show you how to reset SBI net banking password using ATM card details.
In our recent post, we have provided immensely important tips to safely use internet banking. By following these simple tips, you can safeguard your bank account against any fraudulent activity. Basically, SBI internet banking has two types of passwords: login password and profile password. If you remember any of them then you can regain access to your account without visiting your home bank branch. In other scenario, if you forget both passwords then you can use second method (by submitting your ATM card details) to recover your passwords.
Using SBI online banking website, you can retrieve your SBI login credentials. For that purpose, you should have your bank passbook, ATM card or transaction password, and registered mobile number. If you’ve these things handy then read on to know how to reset SBI net banking passwords.

How to Reset SBI Net Banking Password using ATM Card Details or Profile Password
To reset SBI net banking password, first of all, visit SBI online banking website as usual you do to login to your online account.
After reaching on the login page, click on “Forget Login Password” link.
On the next page, select “Forgot My Login Password” and then click on Next button.
Next fill up the form. First enter your SBI internet banking user id. Then enter your account number, country, registered mobile number, and date of birth. Subsequently, enter CAPTCHA code showing on your computer screen in the given box. Thereafter, click on Submit.
Enter OTP that you’ve received on your registered mobile number. Note: If you don’t receive OTP withing 2-3 minutes then click on “Click here to resend the OTP” button.
On the next screen, select your preferred method to reset SBI internet banking password. Select “Using ATM Card Details” if you want to reset your login password using debit card. Select “Using Profile Password” if you remember your SBI profile password. After selecting one option, click on Submit button.
In the next step, enter your ATM card details. Note: You can find “Valid Thru or Expiry” date on your card. In ATM PIN field, you’ve to enter your ATM PIN that you use to withdraw money from an ATM machine. After entering all the details, click on Proceed button. Similarly, if you’ve selected profile password option, then enter your profile password in the asked field.
That’s it. On the next screen, you will be asked to enter new SBI login password. Use uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters e.g. [email protected]*123 to create a strong password. After entering the password, reenter it in the next field to confirm and then click on Submit button.
