SBI Anywhere Personal mobile banking app is a good way to perform banking related tasks without visiting your bank branch. Using this app, you can check your SBI account balance, download bank account statement, and see your account activities. Furthermore you can transfer fund from your SBI bank account to other bank accounts.
In my last post on SBI bank, I’ve shown you how to register on the app and in this post I will be showing you how to reset forgot SBI anywhere password. If you’re unable to log in to your SBI online banking account due to wrong password then I will help you reset your SBI Anywhere password.
If you have forgot your State Bank of India user ID then you can read this post, “How to find SBI user ID?” If you remember your SBI user ID then to reset your password follow the steps given below.
Note: You’ll need SBI Profile password or SBI debit card to reset your SBI mobile banking password.
How to Reset Forgot SBI Anywhere Password
First of all, open your SBI Anywhere personal mobile banking app. From login tab, tap on “Forgot login password?” link.
Next, you will be redirected to troubleshooting page, select ‘Forgot My Login Password’ and tap on Next.
Now fill up the details asked in the form. Note: If you’ve forgot your SBI user ID then click here to know how to find that.
Also, make sure to enter exact date of birth as mentioned on your bank account and also enter your registered mobile number (that is linked to your bank account).
In the end of the form, you will see a captcha text image. You will need to enter the text shown in the image in the given box.
After filling up the form, tap on Submit button.
In the next step, you will receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. You will need to enter that OTP message in the given text field. Note: If you have not received the OTP then tap on ‘click here to resend the OTP’ link. Subsequently, tap on Confirm.
Now you will be shown 3 ways to reset your SBI anywhere password. You can choose any preferred method. I am going to choose ‘Using ATM card details’.
After choosing the option, tap on Submit button.
Now grab your debit card and enter its details such card number, expiry date, and ATM PIN (that you use to withdraw cash from ATM), asked in the form. Then enter captcha text showing in the image in the given box and hit proceed button.
That is it. Now you can enter a new password for your SBI Anywhere app. you might already know that you have to enter special characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, and numbers for example 123@Abc to create your password. Using this combination, create a strong password for your SBI Anywhere account.
After entering the password, re-enter it in the next field to confirm it. Thereafter press submit button.
Ta da! You’ve successfully reset your SBI Anywhere password. Now, you can login to your SBI online banking account.
